Placeholder. Twice I’ve built the fast thing first and paid for it later. Both times because I’d stopped asking why I wanted it.

The slow thing goes in first

Placeholder. A founder asked me last month what to build this quarter. I asked what they wanted the company to look like in ten years. The trees, in other words. Then we talked about the beds.

Plant the trees first. The beds can wait a season.
